* Cafe G. *

uk24 The Cafe G. sits amidst a small and clean village. When you drive past, you probably won’t recognize it’s abandoned for many years, as its front is still in nice shape. But it’s decaying more and more – especially the annex building on the back.

On ground level, you can explore a bar with a secondary room, the toilets and the kitchen. Just behind, in the annex building, there’s a very old bowling alley and a ballroom with a small stage. The bowling alley consists only of some parts that have not been stolen or destroyed over time, and the roof of the ballroom bears a very large hole. In the ballroom, there’s also the skeleton of a piano – vandalism and the ravages of time took their toll on it. When you follow the stairs upwards, you find some rooms that were possibly guest rooms. But maybe, the owners lived here, as there stands a large safe in one of the rooms. Again up the stairs, you find yourself in the attic, where you will see remains of the former owners and a small smokehouse.

The Cafe G. is a well known spot in the local „urbex scene“, there have been modeling photoshoots too. The children of the village use the ruin as a somewhat dangerous adventure playground.
