F.A.Q

– Kein Kommentar.

uk24Whats’s this page about? – Look here please.

Why do you do this? – I grew up in a city that was heavily affected by the local coal and steel industry. When those large factories were shut down due to financial crises, I was fascinated by the large abandoned buildings. After all the noise, heat and bustling activity was gone, they were lying in abandonment and silence. I can remember myself at the age of 12, I was photographing those modern ruins with a cheap small pocket camera. I preserved my fascination to date, and added the photography hobby. Besides the artistic component, I see myself as some sort of documentary photographer, as in Europe, old buildings are often torn down instead of preserving them for our children.

Where are all these buildings? How can I get in there? – No comment. I see every new confidant as increasing danger for the buildings. Theft, vandalism, cop surveillance… I ask for your understanding that I will ignore such questions. Exceptions from this rule apply only to locations which are already widely known or that have been razed.

And why this strange domain name? – Just buy a video game console and play Fallout 3. You will understand 😉
