Einen Katzensprung von meinem Arbeitsplatz entfernt befinden sich zwei verlassene Industrieanlagen, die direkt aneinander grenzen und sich dadurch für eine einzelne Foto- / Erkundungstour eignen. Beides sind keine super-duper Highlights, aber spannend ist Industrie ja immer 

 Heute das erste der beiden Werke.

Es handelt sich um ein Zementwerk, welches (wie so viele der „alten“ Industriebetriebe im Saarland) eine wechselvolle Vergangenheit hat. Die letzte „Firmengründung“ war 2003, irgendwann um 2019 wurde der operative Betrieb eingestellt, die endgültige Auflösung der Gesellschaft erfolgte 2022. Leider kann ich euch nicht viel mehr erzählen, denn die Informationslage ist recht mau.

Die Firmengebäude machen – gemessen daran, dass die Schließung eigentlich garnicht sooo lange her ist – einen extrem baufälligen, maroden, an einigen Stellen fast einsturzgefährdeten Eindruck. Eigentlich war ich nur wegen einem Modelshoot dort vorort, fand die Kulissen dann aber doch interessant genug, um auch eine „Urbex-Fotoreihe“ zu knipsen 🙂

A stone’s throw from my workplace are two abandoned industrial plants that are directly adjacent to each other and can thus be explored with a single photo tour. Both are not super-duper highlights, but industry is always exciting 😉

Today the first of the two plants.

It is a cement plant, which (like so many of the „old“ industrial plants in the Saarland) has a checkered past. The last „company foundation“ was in 2003, sometime around 2019 the operational business was stopped, the final dissolution of the company took place in 2022. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you much more, because the information situation is quite meager.

The company buildings make – measured by the fact that the closure was actually not sooo long ago – an extremely dilapidated, ramshackle, in some places almost collapsing impression. Actually, I was there only because of a model shoot, but then found the scenery interesting enough to take a „Urbex photo series“ 😉
