Die Molkerei * The Dairy Plant

uk24 Sometimes, the motivation to explore a specific „lost place“ is like to push the personal statistics, as it was the case with this tour – we had a large enough time frame and felt a deficit in industrial structures. So, when we got the information about this dairy plant, it came exactly in the right moment. After a bit of initial trouble, we were able to start our exploration. But sadly, our expectations were not met. The plant had been shut down in 2010 – for such a short time, it was badly vandalized and stripped of any valuables. To add insult to the injury, the only access to the office spaces was sealed off. So, the heating system in a separate building became the most interesting spot. In the basement of the plant, you can find several wheelchairs and walkers – we did’nt have any clue why these items were there 😀 Altogether, this exploration tour was no highlight in our carreer – but you can’t always hit the jackpot. However, I got some interesting pictures anyway.
