Unsere heutige Expedition führte uns an einen strenggeheimen Ort. So geheim, dass ich sogar den Namen vergessen habe 😉 Von dieser unterirdischen Leitzentrale aus wäre das militärische Personal im Falle eines Atomkriegs geführt worden – falls es noch etwas zum Führen gegeben hätte. Von einem Informanten der Gegenseite mit den notwendigen Informationen ausgestattet, ging die Infiltration weitgehend problemlos vonstatten. Lediglich der Fußmarsch hin (und abends auch wieder zurück) hatte es in sich. Aber die Erfahrung lehrt, dass man bei solchen Missionen das Auto besser nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe abstellen sollte. Erst einmal in der Tiefe angekommen, eröffnete sich uns eine unterirdische Welt, die von Vandalismus, Kupferdieben und Graffitischmierern bislang weitestgehend verschont geblieben ist. Die Bürobereiche sind zwar großteils leergeräumt, aber die Technik ist noch nahezu vollständig erhalten. Die Anlage war bis 1998 in Betrieb und wurde dann stillgelegt und versiegelt – vielleicht für eine spätere Nutzung? Von einem Besuch ist strikt abzuraten, da Militär und Polizei den Ort nach wie vor stark bewachen.

UPDATE August 2013: wir wollten die Kommandozentrale ein weiteres Mal besuchen, da wir noch einige tolle Ideen für weitere Fotos hatten. Wir mussten jedoch feststellen, dass die Anlage mittlerweile Kupferdieben zum Opfer gefallen ist, die im Inneren Kabel abgebrannt haben. Schon aus einiger Entfernung konnte man den Gestank von verbranntem Plastik wahrnehmen, und aus den Lüftungsöffnungen steigt noch immer Rauch auf. Damit hat die Urban Exploration Community durch diese miesen Verbrecher ein absolutes Highlight verloren. Bis man den Bunker wieder betreten kann, dürften Jahre vergehen, bis sich die Giftstoffe verzogen haben…
UPDATE Januar 2015: wir waren mal wieder in der Nähe und entschieden uns zu einem spontanen Besuch in der Location. Wir hatten Glück, dass aufgrund der Wetterlage viel frische Luft in die Gänge drückte, und so konnten wir uns einige Zeit aufhalten, bevor das Kopfweh losging. Die Bilder davon seht ihr in der zweiten Galerie unten. Ein trauriger Anblick – die Kabelratten haben ganze Arbeit geleistet 🙁
Today, our expedition lead us to a top secret location. Due to the confidentiality I forgot its name 😉 From here, the military units would have been lead in case of a nuclear war – if there would have been anything left to lead. With important information from an enemy informant, infiltration was easy, except for the long hike. But experience teaches not to park the car near such an installation. When we arrived in the abyss, we discovered an underground world that has been spared from vandals, copper thieves and graffiti contaminators. The office rooms are fairly empty, but the whole technical area is nearly complete. The facility was used by the military till 1998, when they shut it down and sealed it – maybe for later use? Don’t try to visit on your own – the military and the police are still guarding the whole thing.

UPDATE August 2013: we wanted to make a re-visit of the Command Center, as we had new ideas for fascinating photos. But we discovered that the compound has fallen prey to copper thieves. The evil thugs have burned the cables inside the bunker. You can smell the sharp stench of burned plastic even from some distance of the entrances, and there is still smoke billowing out of the ventilation. The Urban Exploration community has lost an absolute highlight due to these criminals. It may take years until we can enter the compound, due to the amount of toxic fumes inside…
UPDATE January 2015: as we had been in the vicinity of the Command Center, we decided to try out a spontaneous visit. We were lucky, as because of the weather conditions there was a lot of fresh air floating through the galleries, so we could spend a considerable time inside, before the headaches began. The photos are in the lower gallery. It is a sad view – the cable thieves did a really good job destroying everything 🙁
