BMW-Villa * BMW Mansion

uk24 The BMW Mansion – also known as BMW-Villa, Villa BeEmWee and other names, is an old city mansion in Belgium.

The other buildings in this neighborhood are all luxurious houses in very good shape, it’s obvious you are in one of the „better“ districts of this town – a ruin seems to be a real eyesore here. Probably, the neighbors appreciate the dense plants on the property, as it covers the ruin in the summer months.

When you made it over the fence, it’s easy to explore – but the neighbors are possibly pissed off by the continous stream of visitors 😉 There’s a half-collapsed garage on the plot, which bears the name-giving 7-series BMW from the 1970s, which still is not completely vandalized. It was once the top model of the BMW catalogue.

When you reach the main building, you feel a bit like in a horror movie because of the architecture and the bad condition of the mansion. It is in a very advanced state of decay, the floors from the top floor have already collapsed, as did the stairway. A small part of the ground floor is used as a storage for garden tools (probably by one of the neighbors).

The former owner must have been a wealthy person working in the fashion sector, as one can tell by the hundreds of fashion magazines, as well as by the personal documents scattered around, the wardrobe trunks and the sewing machine.
